First, everyone got settled and I told them all about Ritter Sport and the company and all their kinds of chocolate. I had laid out a few smaller squares for everyone at their spot beforehand. I didn't let them try them until after the taste test though! Didn't want to spoil the fun.
After everyone listed to the cool info packet, I offered everyone beverages and while they were doing that, I set up the chocolate taste game. I laid everything out according to the instructions and put a sheet at everyones seat.
When they were done getting their drinks, they all came back and sat down. Ciarra actually wanted to sit on the floor! She's an interesting one for sure.
The hardest flavor for everyone to guess was actually the Alpine Chocolate! I think everyone was expecting it to have a different flavor (like an added flavor) so they were trying hard to figure out what it was! Jokes on the, it was just plain milk chocolate!
After the tasting game, we all sat down on my comfy rug and made our chocolate sculptures! Ciarra made a beautiful heart, Christine and I made a sunflower, Maryse, David, and Rose worked hard on the house, and we all made the "Ritter" together. The packet had shown some examples, which is why my work friends decided to try the house. I don't think we had enough of the little squares to make a house as big as the example, but I still think they did a good job. They even added a little pathway in front of the house! Nice job, guys!
We all had a blast working together and sampling the awesome chocolate. Ciarra ended up winning the tasting game, so she got to choose a big square of chocolate. She chose the coconut because she loves all things coconut!
Everyone had a really good time and thought the chocolate was delicious. We all definitely had our favorites by the end too!
Maryse and Rose fell in love with the extra dark chocolate. I think that's a taste you acquire with age- I can't handle the bitterness yet!
David loved the butter biscuit one. At first he was skeptical because it sounded odd, but he grabbed quite a few to take home with him! And he chose the sleeve that had 2 butter biscuits instead of one :p
Ciarra loved the chocolate coconut one, but also really enjoyed the marzipan. She loves almonds so it had a good taste for her!
Christine decided the strawberry was her favorite- she had quite the sweet tooth and is a really big fruit lover.
My favorite is definitely the corn flakes one. Like David, I was a bit skeptical about this flavor! Who puts a cereal food in chocolate?! But boy oh boy, this flavor combo was right on. So delicious!
I am very thankful for the opportunity to host this party with my friends thanks to Tryazon and Ritter Sport. I made sure to disperse the coupons because I think my friends will start craving it again as soon as they run out of the goodies they brought home with them!
