Nursing Cover

My sister just had her first baby 3 weeks ago and decided she definitely wanted to breastfeed. She's sort of a shy person though, and everyone knows how often newborns like/need to eat....so she was kind of in a pickle. She wanted to nurse, but was nervous. I ended up being able to purchase this nursing cover (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B014DS6E4K/ref=twister_B014DPVK24?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) through Tomoson for a discounted price. I gave it to her and she was so thankful! She used it immediately. She loves the colors and it's also really nicely sized, so every bit is covered. The fabric is sturdy and of nice quality, but not too thick and is light enough where my sister and my niece are comfortable under it. The neck strap is great as well so my sister can use both hands to support and help her baby without having to worry about keeping the cover up and in place. It can fold up nicely for travel and storage as well.

Calming Ocean Waves CD

I always have a hard time falling asleep at night due to some medication that I take, so I decided to try some calming music to see if it would help.

 I received this CD (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01709Q1NI) for a discounted price and am glad I did! On the second day of playing this to fall asleep, I think I fell asleep the fastest I ever had. It's so soothing and relaxing, and my mind was able to wander and slow down and just be at rest. The quality of sound is amazing and I couldn't be more eager to recommend this to anyone I know who has similar sleep issues to mine. This may also be really nice to soothe a fussy baby.


 The CD is a single "song" of 60 minutes, with continuous ocean noises. The ocean waves are soft, calming, and soothing. There are no other background noises (like boats or birds or big, scary waves), so it's easy to get lost in the noise and fully relax.

 I put this in my CD player right before bed and fell asleep with it on. I am so glad I have this, and I'll definitely listen to it even when I'm not trying to fall asleep! #OceanCD

Sport-It Yoga Leggings

I'll be the first to admit that I am a lover of leggings. I don't care if people think they're not pants..I would wear them every day if I could. They're comfy and cute and make me look thinner. What else could a lady want? I was recently approved via Tomoson to purchase and review some yoga leggings from Go Sport-It Co. (You can find them here:http://superurl7.com/945647ed3a4a521). When I first got them, they looked a little small so I was a bit nervous that they wouldn't fit. However, they are now my favorite leggings. They fit PERFECTLY. In fact, I'm wearing them now and dreading when I have to take them off. They're THAt comfortable. They slid right on and up over my hips (my biggest problem area) and are comfy. They stay up and fit snuggly. The fabric is like a stretchy, silky material but thick! When I put them on the first time, I just kept sliding my hands up and down my legs because the fabric is so soft and smooth (I love it if you can't tell). I ordered a large and I definitely think they fit true to size. I'm 5'2" and weigh about 160 so I'm kinda chubby. They fit nicely except they're a little long, but everything I own tends to be long since I'm so short. Here are some photos of me wearing them:

Also- I forgot to mention- THEY HAVE POCKETS IN THE WAIST BAND. Seriously. How awesome/perfect/totally cool is that? They're the perfect size for your keys, a phone, or maybe even some cash or a credit card. And they have a little fabric on the top too so nothing will fall out! (see 2nd photo for pockets). As you can see from the 1st and 3rd photo, I don't even really have a muffin top! Which I get sometimes while wearing leggings. The wide waist band definitely prevents them all together(or at least major noticeable ones). 

Honestly, I love these. I don't think I'll ever take them off.....

Cotton Pacifier Clips from Stuff4Tots

I've been meaning to make my own pacifier clips for my niece since I found out my sister was pregnant, but with school and 3 jobs and everything else that's been going on, I just never had the chance. When I was offered to try these in exchange for my review(http://www.amazon.com/dp/B017ULLNAM), I jumped at the opportunity. Here's what I love the most about them:
1.) The patterns. Seriously they're adorable!

2.) They're easy to clip on! Check out the pic below to see how firmly it clips!

3.) They're handmade! It's so rare and hard to find items that are truly handmade anymore..which makes these that much more special and high quality!

4.) They're easy to clip! I could do it one handed without any issue, and they come unclipped just as easy!

5.) The pacifier slips in the loop with minimal effort as well, and stays put!

Overall, I'm super pleased with these and can't wait to use them with my niece! The only problem is deciding which one to use first.... :p

The BEST Baby Sling Carrier

Recently, I was approved to review the Baby Sling Carrier by CoziTot for free via Tomoson!

My sister just had a baby last week(she's 9 days old today!) and I've been looking for a carrier to keep at my house, as I'll be watching her everyday when my sister goes back to work. I received the sling in the mail today and my first impression is "Wow!". Not only is it a really comfy material, but the embroidery is SO pretty and could easily work for a baby boy or a baby girl (I know some parents are weird when it comes to putting their babies in patterns typically reserved for the opposite gender) but that won't be a concern with this sling carrier!

Also, the sling comes with instructions for carrying both in front and back, which is extremely helpful. I wouldn't have known how to put it on without the pictures! Since I don't have my niece with me currently (I'm going to visit her Thursday and will try to wear it with her then), I practiced with a stuffed bear :p and I figured it out! It was comfortable and easy to put on by yourself. 

The carrier itself is great for the fact that you can use it with varying size/age babies, meaning you don't have to go out and buy a new one when your itty bitty baby becomes a growing toddler! The adjustable straps make it easy to expand the carrier as your baby grows. Additionally, it means your dh can use it too (no more excuses, guys!)

Overall, I'm very pleased with this carrier and can't wait to babywear little Madeline!

I was lucky enough to recently be chosen to receive 2 full size make-up products from YSL courtesy of Influenster.

The items I received are:

2.) Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Blur Perfector

I'm not a huge make-up/primer person, but was excited to try these. I've been working in a professional setting lately and have been using more make-up to appear classier. I usually wear normal name-brand makeup like CoverGirl and Maybelline. However, I found that my make-up seems to disappear during the day and my blemishes start becoming more noticeable. When I received the makeup from YSL, I used it the next morning for work. I noticed that it made my skin look flawless and smooth, and the results lasted all day and well into the night. I could have gone out on the town and not have had to reapply my makeup! That saves a lot of time and effort and is definitely a plus for me. The Blur Perfector was really nice to use as makeup setter. I applied it after the primer and my other makeup (my mascara, my eye shadow, and my eye liner) applied effortlessly over it and looked professionally done. Both the primer and the perfector are very easy to apply and go on so nicely. My skin looks clear of bumps and discoloration, and it looks as if I had never even had acne my entire life. 

The price is above what I normally spend ( a lot above, actually) but since I've been using it, I don't think there is even a small chance that I would stop. I feel beautiful and have gotten so my compliments on my skin. I have been recommending it to everyone!! I am so lucky to have been chosen to test out these products- thank you, Influenster and YSL! 

Dabble Party- Courtesy of Tryazon!

This weekend I was lucky enough to spend an entire day with my family and closest friends, and we had a blast! I was chosen to represent New York State to host a Dabble Game party through Tryazon! My family is full of word lovers. My dad used to give me and my siblings a new word every week when we were growing up and challenge us to use them as often as we cold throughout the word (we even learned the roots, the definitions, and the origin!). Because of that, we grew up being true lexicons!

We've been playing Scrabble for years.. and as much as we love it, it gets boring playing the same game all the time! That's why I was super excited to be chosen to get to try this game! My family LOVED it! We are very competitive, and certainly went back and forth with one another throughout the tournament bracket!! Low and behold, I won ;p

I had so much fun planning and executing this party. We had so many yummy snacks and drinks, and the party goers seemed to really enjoy them!!

Since it was so nice and beautiful outside the day of the party, we played a few games outside on the patio! While people weren't playing, they were enjoying the sunshine and company of friends.

My sister-in-law, Katie, ended up winning the tournament! She didn't let my brother live it down!!

ONESwitch

I know I already wrote about mine and Kirkland's switch to PurinaONE for Cats, but I figured I'd write a little bit more. Since Kirkland has been eating this for the past week, I've definitely noticed a change in his behavior. He's been far more active, and has been running around the house like crazy, and has been asking to go outside much more often than usual (where he "hunts" and teases the dogs). The product itself is awesome. It has such high quality ingredients, and is priced well enough where it doesn't hurt my weekly budget, and I feel good about giving it to Kirkland. Since I'm a relatively poor college student, I try to keep costs down on anything I can. I always feel guilty giving Kirkland food that isn't name brand for the sake of my budget, but with PurinaONE, I know what I'm feeding him is good and I don't regret the cost. Purina ONE- A Combo review by myself and Kirkland the Kitty

First off, I LOVE getting products to try from Influenster, but this was the first time that Kirkland got to try something!! And just to be clear, he's in LOVE. As soon as I opened the box from Influenster, Kirk was at my feet (his ears are tuned to the sound of cat food shaking in a bag) and meowing up at me with persistence. He had already had his breakfast and it was too early for dinner, but I decided to cave in and let him try some. He devoured it!! And let me stress the fact that he is THE pickiest cat I have ever had. If he doesn't like the food he's given, he will leave it in the bowl, look at it, and meow at you until you give him something different. Not this time!! As for me, I love that the ingredients are so fresh and pure. I consider Kirkland a child, and can't imagine feeding him overly processed food. Thanks, Influenster, for letting Kirkland try this yummy food!

Reese's Spreads

I received a jar of Reese's Spreads in the mail a few weeks ago, courtesy of Influenster, and I just needed to share with everyone how much I loved it! At first, I paired the spread with some fresh Granny Smith apple slices and basically went to heaven. SO GOOD. The next day, I tried the spread with strawberries and it was equally as good. Such a perfect pairing combo. My brother really liked spreading the Reese's Spreads over his toast in the morning, and even my mom and dad tried it! Overall, I was very pleased with the taste and quality, as well as the price. I have already bought more since I used up my free jar so quickly!
